Workshops

My presentations include a variety of methodologies and are adapted for my audiences. Whether I am speaking to women’s groups, middle schoolers or high schoolers, teachers, catechists, senior citizens, Native Americans or those interested in my time on the reservation, I create a program designed especially for their needs. My workshops often include the labyrinth and the Native American Medicine Wheel.

Understanding the Mysteries of the Labyrinth

This workshop will introduce the history, traditions, and symbolism of the labyrinth and demonstrate how to use the labyrinth as a tool for meditation, guidance, and practical application. The three stages of the labyrinth – purgation, illumination, unification will be covered giving the walk a more meaningful experience. Each labyrinth presentation is customized for the intended audience.

Native American Medicine Wheel

Medicine Wheel, in the Bighorn National Forest, Wyoming

This session will explore the Seven Directions of the Medicine Wheel, lessons from the animals represented in each direction and the practical application for everyday living. Knowledge of the Native American Medicine Wheel will bring balance, harmony, and beauty into one’s life by working with the Creator and applying simple and practical lessons found in nature.

The Seven Directions of the Medicine Wheel by Luella Wagner is an excellent companion to this workshop.

Teacher in the Yellow House

After trials and tribulation, Luella found her true purpose in the most unlikely place – an Indian reservation! Suffering job loss and with 12% unemployment, the only job Luella could find was teaching on an Indian reservation in Montana – negative degree temperature, no car, no internet, no Starbucks – it was the best thing that could have happened to her! After months of self-doubt, soul searching, and long nights of prayer, she found her reason for being there. In a lively and humorous style, Luella will take you on her journey to the reservation and back. Her story of friendship, forgiveness, and overcoming adversity will stay with you for a very long time.

A book signing of Teacher in the Yellow House by Luella Wagner is included in this talk.
